I started my journey with Mandy in summer 2022 and I can say what an amazing journey it was.

From the first lesson I was given a very special nickname from Mandy which is Mavs, which is a Top Gun reference, and was given to me because of my passion for flying. In all of our lessons together we knew that the mission was to get my wheels first before getting my wings!

When learning to drive with Mandy we had so many amazing and funny experiences which has made my driving journey even more memorable.

No matter how hard I found some of the aspects of learning to drive, Mandy was there supporting me and telling me that I could get there, and never once in the car did I feel like I couldn’t get my driving licence as long as I tried my hardest.

Mandy has a lot of patience and will make sure that you have gone through every aspect of learning to drive until you feel confident that you can do that manoeuvre correctly.

I couldn’t have chosen a better driving instructor to guide me through my driving journey.

I am very happy to say that I passed my driving test first time and Mandy never had any doubts.

It took time for me to completely feel confident when driving, but thanks to Mandy I managed to do it and I can’t thank her enough!

What a journey it has been. I started my driving journey with Mandy when I was 18. I then got accepted into university and moved away for a few years before embarking on driving with her again.

I can honestly say Mandy is the best driving instructor, who is very professional and teaches driving in a way which you will never forget. With taking such a big gap I thought it would be difficult to return back on the road, but this was not the case.

Mandy has a lot of patience, tolerance and is very encouraging. I must say I was very nervous at the beginning of my driving journey but throughout with amazing teaching and her knowledge of the road have become more confident with driving and that is because of Mandy.   

I am happy to say I passed my driving test 1st time and went on to completing pass plus which gave me further confidence on the road, definitely worth it.

I initially had lessons with another instructor which really knocked my confidence in learning to drive, but having found Mandy and booking a few introductory lessons, the difference in teaching was night and day.

Mandy was an absolute pleasure to be taught by.  Extremely professional in the way she teaches and very easy to get along with.

She puts a crazy amount of work in to her teaching, both during and outside lesson time, to make sure you have a thorough understanding of all the driving techniques, laws of the road and gerneral driving etiquette you need to know in order to be a safe driver.

She communicates all of this stuff in a friendly, easy to  understand way and is patient with anything you might not get right away, recognising and planning lessons around things you might be having trouble with.

I passed my practical test first time, in large part because of all the work Mandy put in to her lessons.

If anyone were to come to me for recommendations on a driving instructor, Mandy would be top of the list without a doubt.

Before starting lessons with Mandy I knew I would be in safe hands, as she previsouly instructed my brother to a first time pass 4 years prior.

When my lessons then started, it was clear that Mandy was very efficient and thorough in the way that she taught me.  What I thought would be difficult when it came to driving, Mandy made it simple and clear.  What initially started as nerves, then develpoed to an enjoyment to drive, which was emphasized through Mandy’s enjoyable company.

I hadn’t driven since passing my test 9 years ago and although I was keen to start driving again I was also nervous and unconfident as so many years had gone by.

After unsuccessful attempts to book lessons with two driving schools, I found Mandy’s website Racing Colours and booked with her, which turned out to be the best decision I have made.

Learning to drive with Mandy has been great and I’ve really enjoyed our lessons.   I learned to drive (not with Mandy), when I was 19 but didn’t pass my test.  I then picked it up again many years later not remembering anything from my much earlier lessons.  Mandy was very patient but quickly got me up to speed.

The driving lessons were a good combination of challenging, yet reassuring as I knew Mandy would help and guide me as needed.  The lockdown made things more challenging but Mandy kindly ensured that her pupils with upcoming tests got a good number of lessons as soon as lockdown lifted (and of course her car was always very clean).

I’m pleased to say that I passed my test first time around – all thanks to Mandys great tuition. I would certainly recommend her for anyone looking for an driving instructor.

I was a nervous learner and had previous lessons with other instructors which I had stopped and started.  I found Mandy online after looking for a local female instructor and from the beginning to the end she went above and beyond.  She discussed my previous experience and it felt as though she was really invested in getting me across the finish line!

I struggled with lessons and could be easily disheartened when I found something difficult but Mandy’s encouragement and perseverance really did the trick!

I passed first time with just two minors and will always be grateful to Mandy for her patience and great teaching.

I had a tricky start learning how to drive due to another driving school and didn’t progress much with them at all, which then resulted in finding a new driving school. It was suggested that I give Racing Colours Driving school a ring a speak to Mandy who was highly recommended by another instructor.

After my first lesson with Mandy it was clear that I had a lot to learn after having a few lessons previously with a different instructor, there was a lot of work that needed to be done in order for me to pass my test successfully. Mandy was very informative and detailed in her lessons and took a lot of care and put in a lot of effort when I had my lessons with her, going over specific things with her driving books and pictures she had with her to explain any questions I had.

Overall Mandy helped me gain the confidence with my driving that I was previously lacking and helped me improve my awareness on the road and my safety. This all resulted in me passing on my first attempt! My family were extremely proud and happy with what Mandy had taught me and could see how much effort was put into my lessons.

After a false start with another driving school, we found Racing Colours Driving School and Louise has now passed her driving test at the first attempt.

Louise  was a nervous learner, but with Mandy’s help and support she quickly got used to everything and we have been delighted with Racing Colours. Mandy kept us informed regularly on progress and got Louise through the whole procedure from start to finish in good time. She didn’t just teach Louise how to pass the test, but developed the right skills to ensure she will be a good long term driver.

We could not be more delighted.

As I was driving down Banstead Road, navigating the parked cars, it was clear to me that the learner driver in front was confident in their driving skill and making clear, strong decisions. With urgency, I took down the instructor’s details and rang Mandy to arrange driving lessons for my son.

Mandy has enabled my son to pass his practical test first time with no faults (a fantastic achievement) and coupled with Mandy’s sense of humour, has also taught my son to be a responsible and considerate driver. Mandy ensured my son’s driving needs were understood and supported by me, so that when my son was driving outside of lessons we were all aligned.

My son is looking to use Mandy to complete his Pass Plus and I am looking to book driving lessons for my daughter – none of this would be possible without Mandy’s efforts.

Before Racing Colours Driving school, I had 3 months of lessons with a national driving school and had made no progress.  And then I found Mandy’s website.

Mandy didn’t teach me how to pass the test she taught me how to drive. She has given me the confidence to make decisions on my own.  I have a solid understanding of road safety and an awareness of my surroundings when I’m driving as well as the technical elements.

Mandy really goes the extra mile and supported me and my family by helping my mum, who was taking me out to practice, with understanding how she could help me!  I’m definitely going to use Mandy to do Pass Plus. I was thrilled to pass my driving on the first attempt with only two minors but couldn’t have done it without Mandy.
